Our Story

Many individuals face health issues due to unhealthy diets and lifestyle choices. To address this, we've developed hemp products designed to enhance your well-being and help you feel your best every day!
Ari Sherman and Jourdan Samel co-founded evo hemp with the goal of transforming the American family farm. By creating a supply chain for U.S.-grown hemp, they aim to revitalize the nation's agricultural landscape.
Sherman and Samel first crossed paths in 2008 at the University of Denver, where they became roommates while pursuing their business degrees. In 2012, they introduced their initial product line, evo hemp bars. Following several years of advocating for hemp legalization in Washington D.C., they celebrated the passing of a farm bill that permitted states to cultivate hemp for the first time in over six decades. Returning to Colorado, they established one of the first hemp supply chains in the U.S.
In 2017, Ari Sherman and Jourdan Samel were honored by Forbes magazine as part of their 30 Under 30 list in the Food and Drink category for their commitment to hemp social responsibility.
Their vision extends beyond just product development and profit; they aim to foster positive change in rural communities through industrial hemp farming. In the same year, evo hemp introduced product lines in collaboration with Native American tribes, focusing on leveraging agricultural hemp to empower small indigenous farmers and rejuvenate native farming communities.
“Our motivation for founding evo hemp was the belief that establishing a domestic hemp supply could generate jobs and build wealth within Black and Indigenous communities,” stated Sherman. “This mission led us to the 40 Acre Co-op, where we aspire to drive economic growth.”
